Mount Pisgah Christian School (MPCS) has commenced a national search for an ambitious advancement professional to direct its Annual Excellence Fund. This is a new fulltime position on a dynamic four-person Advancement team that is currently planning for a comprehensive campaign to begin in the fall of 2013. The ideal candidate will be blessed with a joyous and public Christian faith, high energy, a collaborative style in working with volunteers, a sense of humor, and a willingness to solicit gifts. The director reports to the Director of Advancement and will work closely with the advancement council, trustees and Head of School. Additional qualities include experience in a Christian school, college or university, superior writing and organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and an ability to work as part of a team.
Founded in 1986, Pisgah is an accredited, college-preparatory independent Christian school with a rich history of nurturing and inspiring students in preschool through 12th grade. Education, training, experience:
The Director of the Annual Fund will:
•Take ownership of a major fund raising program that secures hundreds of gifts each year and provides 6% of the school’s operating budget
•Provide support and direction to a large group of enthusiastic volunteers, primarily parents
•Prepare a case for support and a yearly plan for the Annual Excellence Fund
•Plan and execute special events that support the Annual Excellence Fund
•Embrace a data-driven approach (using fund raising software) to enhance gift reporting and prospect management
•Possess superior organizational skills and proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
•Pitch in to support various areas of the school as needed
•Bachelors required; CFRE preferred
•Minimum two years of relevant advancement experience
•A demonstrated track record of being committed to professional development and lifelong learning
